Governor of delta state is set to reopen delta state by  30 of April

 

as said by okowa today  Effective, Thursday, 30th April, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Delta State Public Health Law; the Quarantine Act; and the Infectious Diseases (Emergency Prevention) Regulation, all citizens and residents of Delta State are to adhere to the following guidelines:

. It shall be mandatory for all residents of Delta State to utilise face-masks in public places. ‘Public places’ include offices, markets, malls, supermarkets, salons, hospitals and health clinics, churches, mosques, and all other ‘approved’ gatherings.

 

2. All conferences, sporting activities, gathering of people in convention/event centres, sports fields, public/open spaces, as well as recreational and cultural/communal activities remain banned until 31st May 2020.
3. Burials and weddings will be allowed. However, the social distancing rule of maintaining a 6ft distance amongst attendees must be applied. Additionally, the number of guests must not exceed 50.
4. All schools, both public and private, will remain closed until Sunday, 31st May 2020. 5. All entertainment centres, including cinemas, bars and night clubs will remain closed until Sunday, 31st May 2020.
6. All restaurants and canteens are to operate a strict ‘take-away only’ policy; while hotels will be allowed to open (with in-room dining). However, hotel restaurants, bars and night clubs must remain closed till further notice.

Points from delta  state Governor Okowa broadcast today, Tuesday, April 28, 2020. *Partial lift of ban on movement within the state from 6 am to 7pm from April 30, 2020. *Conferences, sporting activities, and other gatherings remained banned until review on May 31, 2020. *Burials and weddings can hold with a maximum of 50 persons in attendance. Schools  remain closed until review on May 31, 2020. *Entertainment centers remain closed till further notice. * Restaurants can reopen on the basis of serving takeaway meals. *Hotels can also reopen but meals must be served in rooms, while clubs and other entertainment services should remain closed. *Transportation services can resume under the following passenger load guidelines: 2 passengers at the back for tricycles (keke) one passenger in front and two at the back for taxis, and a maximum of two passengers per seat for buses. *Airports remain closed *Crusades and religious conventions remain banned till further notice. *Civil Servants from Level 12 and above to resume work from April 30,2020. Junior workers on essential duties are also to resume. However workers with known health issues can work from home. *Appropriate social distancing and other health measures must be adopted at all places of work. *From April 30, 2020, use of face masks is compulsory in public places. *Interstate lock down remains in place for the next two weeks. please share after reading
