‘If u are African take care but also you know death is close’ – Seun Kuti says as he slams global leaders over coronavirus surge

Seun Kuti has advised all the Africans to take care of themselves as the dreaded coronavirus has continued to spread globally.

The grammy award nominee made this known via his Instagram page on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

According to him, the leaders of the countries have over the years spent resources on defense rather than take care of its citizens.

“All the hundreds of billions of dollars spent on DEFENCE has actually been spent on destroying the other, not protecting humanity or the planet. It is obvious that the world is unprepared to defend itself from a real enemy!!” he wrote.

“It is clear that all you can do as DEFENCE is to blow up black and brown people and destroy the environment. #getthesax.

“By the way, hunger is killing thousands every day, where is the hysteria on that!! Listen if u are African take care but also you know death is close by, no be corona kill them for Amuwo Odofin ooo!!

Nigeria now has eleven confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, recorded its first and second cases of the deadly coronavirus disease between February and March 2020 respectively.

About a week ago, it was announced that the person with the second case of the virus had tested negative.

The World Health Organisation has declared coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic. It has now afflicted every continent on the planet besides Antarctica, .
